Adesuwa Agbonile is a Nigerian-American writer, journalist, and audio producer. Her aim as a writer is to twist common conceptions of reality and conjure new ways of thinking and being. She is the co-founder of GLINT, a Black feminist multi-media magazine. Her work appears there, as well as in The Adroit Journal, The Loveliest Review, Pleiades, CON-SCIO Magazine and Hobart Online. She is a 2026 Anthony Veasna So Scholar in Fiction, a 2026 Kimbilio Fellow, a winner of the 2025 Brigitte Poirson Literature Prize, a 2023 Periplus Fellowship Finalist, and an 2023 AIR New Voices Fellow. She is also the creator and host of the Audible Original podcast Backlash: The Myth of Political Progress, a historical anthology series. Adesuwa received an MFA in Fiction from New York University, supported by the Goldwater Fellowship, and has a bachelors in Economics from Stanford University. She is currently at work on her first novel.
